One Platform. Any Mission.
Every Theater.
The Devil Ray T38 is MARTAC’s flagship platform and the pinnacle of more than a decade of high-performance unmanned surface vessel (USV) development, combining high speed, payload capacity, endurance, and open-architecture autonomy validated through at-sea operations and Navy range activity.
Blending the speed of a racing boat, the payload of a small cutter, and endurance of a long-range patrol asset, the T38 makes no compromises in capability. An advanced, stable-hull design enables the platform to act as a mothership for the marsupial deployment of smaller MANTAS systems, serving as an autonomous forward deployment node. The T38 has performed in the most demanding real-world conditions including a record-setting 192-hour completely autonomous mission off the coast of California in May 2026, conducted with no chase boats or escorts, demonstrating over-the-horizon operations, BLOS communications pathways, COLREGS-compliant autonomy, payload integration, and Navy-validated range/endurance profiles.
At 39.9 ft (12.2 m) in length with a 4,000-lb (1,814 kg) payload capacity, the T38 combines burst speeds of 50+ knots with the operational range to project capability across an entire theater under endurance-focused profiles. The T38’s carbon-fiber catamaran hull delivers the structural stability and integration real estate needed to host the heaviest sensor stacks, communications packages, and effects in MARTAC’s portfolio across line-of-sight and satellite datalinks to meet the needs of any mission: ISR, kinetic effects, security, patrol, or deployment.
The T38 is the most operationally validated USV in the world — a scalable, multi-mission platform in active operations with U.S. and allied forces today, delivering the hybrid fleet capability the U.S. Navy and its allies need now.
