Announcing a New Expansion Initiative to Rapidly Scale Our Production Capacity
MARTAC has a proud history of delivering the most advanced, reliable, and innovative fleet-driven unmanned systems to our U.S. and allied defense customers. For over a decade, we’ve been proving and enhancing our fleet through real-world experience in adverse conditions around the world.
Now, demand for autonomous maritime systems is accelerating as defense and national security organizations expand their use of these capabilities for distributed maritime operations, maritime domain awareness, logistics support, and force protection. To meet this moment, MARTAC is accelerating our readiness to address customer requirements by significantly growing production capacity through expansion of our current facilities, acquisition of additional boatbuilding facilities. and co-production agreements across the United States and with international partners.
New and pending partnerships will enable us to more than triple vessel deliveries in the coming months. Our model integrates organic capabilities along with leveraging a network of established American boatbuilders and composite manufacturing partners to create an elite distributed production chain. By working with existing maritime manufacturers across multiple regions, we will significantly increase delivery while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and schedule reliability.
The first of these new partnerships is with Mystic Powerboats, a well-known leader in high-performance composite vessel construction. Founded in 1996 and based in DeLand, FL, Mystic brings three decades of expertise in advanced carbon-fiber and composite manufacturing, operating from a nearly100,000-square-foot production facility equipped with the tooling, workforce, and processes required to produce high-strength, lightweight hull structures at scale. Mystic’s proven capabilities in epoxy resin infusion, carbon-fiber lamination and foam-core construction align directly with the materials and methods used in MARTAC’s Devil Ray and MANTAS platforms. A world-class builder with the advanced capabilities and skilled workforce needed to produce the high-performance hull structures our platforms require, Mystic is an ideal partner for scaling our autonomous vessel deliveries.
Another strategic partnership is with Florida-based premium boatbuilder Intrepid Powerboats. Known for performance, engineering, quality and safety, Intrepid will apply its established production capacity, skilled marine workforce, and four+ decades of high-performance hull manufacturing expertise to the construction of MARTAC USV platforms. The company’s superior craftsmanship and capacity will now be put to work supporting national security and the broader unmanned maritime mission.
Additional co-production partnerships are pending with qualified international boatbuilders, composite manufacturers and marine systems integrators whose capabilities meet MARTAC’s rigorous standards. Under each partnership, partners will manufacture key structural elements, carbon-fiber hull assemblies, and maritime components, while MARTAC retains full responsibility for system integration, autonomy architecture, mission payload integration, quality assurance, and final acceptance testing. This distributed production model strengthens our ability to meet operational demand at home and abroad by increasing surge capacity, diversifying the supply chain, and expediting delivery timelines.
Accelerating autonomous maritime capability is imperative as nations place greater emphasis on protecting critical shipping lanes, maintaining maritime awareness, and ensuring force protection across distributed maritime operations. MARTAC was built for this moment.
The United States is home to exceptional marine manufacturing companies with deep expertise in advanced composites and maritime construction. As we expand our distributed co-production model, we will leverage the expertise of America’s existing boatbuilding and composite manufacturing industries so we can scale faster, reduce capital requirements and strengthen the U.S. maritime industrial base. The same rigor applied at home will carry over into our international market
Our strategy is simple: expand current capacity to meet our near-term needs and scale with the industry as necessary. MARTAC will rapidly scale production while ensuring that our systems remain operationally proven and ready to deploy.
