Modular and Scalable Design for Rapid Payload Conversion

The Marine Tactical Systems MANTAS Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) was a star performer at the Teledyne Marine Technology Workshop in San Diego.

The MANTAS was developed by MARTAC, using a flexible, modular and open architecture. MANTAS can easily be launched from shore, from small craft or directly off the deck of a ship. MANTAS can operate at slow, ISR or underwater detection speeds as well as increasing to sprint speeds to proceed to its next mission location. The modularity and scalability of the MANTAS design allows rapid payload conversions to be performed in a short time by removing and replacing payload panels/hatches within its high-performance catamaran hull. This allows for longer duty cycles and less down time.
